Founded in 1998, El Altillo International School prides itself on being much more than an excellent academic institution. As with all great projects, El Altillo International School is characterised by its enthusiasm and will to constantly improve its teaching and pedagogical team, whose strength is founded in the experience, professionalism and outstanding academic education of all of its teachers.

The school has a marked identity of its own, characterised by the special attention it pays to the needs of its pupils, with the objective of obtaining the best from each of them as individuals.

Our pupils receive a comprehensive education founded upon four pillars:

The international character of the school has its origin in the importance of teaching respect for the differences which exist in a multicultural society, and in the necessity of knowing and dominating other languages, especially English, being a bilingual school (Spanish/English) throughout Infant and Primary education, and having increased the number of hours of English taught at Secondary level. The importance of sport:
Physical Education promotes and facilitates friendship and fair play, teamwork and a respect for rules. It teaches us to win and to lose, and increases the capacity for compromise with others and with oneself.

El Altillo International School places a great emphasis on Physical Education, and because of this it offers its pupils optional sports such as chess, a sport in which the school has obtained distinguished results; football; paddle or dance, within the school timetable.

The new technologies of IT and communication are a basic tool of our time, and in El Altillo International School, conscious of this, we deliver classes in these subjects to pupils from the age of four upwards, working, amongst other things, with programmes such as Office, Derive, Cabri and AutoCAD.

El Altillo International School is a private school, secular and mixed-sex, which imparts all educational levels from two years old until university.
