LAUDE The Lady Elizabeth School is a vibrant independent, co-educational, day school founded in 1987, offering a complete education in English to pupils from two to eighteen plus. Traditional values are supported with emphasis placed on self-respect. Due to the truly extensive curriculum offered pupils are able to excel in their area of strength. High standards prevail within a thriving environment in which The Lady Elizabeth School has developed enviable traditions in the fields of sport, music, speech, dance and drama.
It has membership of NABSS (The National Association of British Schools in Spain). Pupils may commence at any time during the academic year, and with level of English permitting, follow a traditional British Education within the guidelines of the National Curriculum, leading to (I)GCSE, AS and A Level qualifications.
In addition to this pupils are able to follow the Spanish Curriculum in accordance with the Royal Decree 806/1993 (studying the three required subjects of Castellano, Language and Literature, Valenciano Language and Social Studies from Primary until Sixth Form in order to obtain homologation both in Secondary Education and Bachillerato. Students are able to proceed to Spanish Universities through Direct Access.
German for first language speakers is available and French, German and Spanish are also offered as foreign languages.
The Staff are well qualified and enthusiastic with a low turnover that encourages an atmosphere of stability. Team spirit is encouraged through the House system and links with the local community are forged through various charitable initiatives organized by each House. Pupils wear uniform until Year 11 and in Sixth Form there is a Dress Code.
