Laude Schools is the result
of a pioneering idea in the Spanish education sector, with the union
between Avantya in Education, experts in educative management, Dinamia
and Nmás1.
Those responsible for the direction of Laude Schools form a team
which knows how to combine, in perfect equilibrium, their proven
business rigour with conscientious service and a vocation for education.
Colegios Laude consists of a network of private schools in which
the learning experience goes beyond the walls of the classroom and
the limits of the teaching programmes; an institution based upon
the belief in the active role which the families entrust to the
school in the training and education of their children.

Colegios Laude's purpose
is to maintain the culture and the "Mission Statement"
of each one of its schools, perfecting their management and encouraging
growth and development, to benefit the pupils and their families.
The idea of tolerance
and respect towards others forms the basis
of our model, independent of any political, philosophical or religious
beliefs.
All of Laude's schools regard coeducation as an essential
principle in their teaching systems, along with respect and honesty,
and implement habits, rules and procedures intended to awaken the
pupils´ sense of duty.
Laude´s aim is that our pupils
learn, inspired and motivated by their teachers, and aided by our
library and books, an essential tool to awaken and stimulate their
creativity, imagination and intelligence, as well as their verbal
capacity and concentration.
At Laude we are committed to the integral education of our pupils:
a solid education in values leading to their self-awareness and
open-mindedness; a multilingual education designed to allow students
to perform skilfully in international and multicultural environments,
which will provide them with essential IT and multimedia skills,
and which will encourage the creation of social skills through the
sports and complementary activities promoted in each of Laude´s
schools. Ours is a model capable of adapting itself to the pupils'pace
of learning, to their capacities and abilities, through the guidance
of the psycho-pedagogical experts responsible for each school. |

At Laude we are committed
to the comprehensive education of our pupils.
Colegios Laude instils in our pupils the vital values of independence
(confidence and self esteem) tolerance (respect and social awareness)
responsibility (reliability, generosity, trustworthiness) cooperation
(commitment to the community) and solidarity (sensitivity towards
weaknesses in others).
We understand that teaching values requires the development of each
of our pupils´ capacities, encouraging communication skills
and dialogue, in order for them to practise and experience respect
with regard to the rights of others, in the context of a diverse
and multicultural society. Teaching values also means educating
people to be independent, to participate, to be responsible, creative
and democratic, to be successful citizens in the years to come,
capable of sharing their feelings, ideas and knowledge. |

Language teaching is the prime focus
of Colegios Laude´s educational programme, and our network
includes schools which follow the British educational system and
are members of NABSS (the National Association of British Schools
in Spain).
Laude incorporates the idea that all of our centres impart
lessons in English, from an early age, as well as in a third language
(French, German, Italian).
Our students will have the opportunity
to spend trimesters studying abroad and to attend summer programmes
in Great Britain, Ireland, France or Germany.

Colegios Laude´s educational
programme places a great emphasis upon the social skills gained
through the schools´ complementary activities, which promote
the transmission and creation of culture, the increase of knowledge
and intellectual progress.
Activities such as music, painting and sport, offered in specialised
schools, as well as humanitarian and environmental activities, are
an essential part of our programme as they contribute to developing
a wealth of knowledge vital in complementing the education of our
pupils, and in distinguishing them as being thoroughly prepared
in all walks of life.

Multimedia tools (TICs) are
employed within Colegios Laude as a teaching resource, work tool
and instrument of communication. For a long time, different studies
have revealed how interactivity with media applications encourages
a more dynamic and efficient teaching and learning process.
The attitude of the user while interacting stimulates reflection
and reasoning processes, and provokes greater cognitive activity.
Because of this we feel that the use of TICs in the classroom is
essential, as well as being a basic work tool. Our multimedia resources
complement traditional tools, through the use of animations, videos,
audio, graphics, text and interactive exercises, which reinforce
the comprehension of the texts´ content and enrich their presentation.
They transcend the space and time of the classroom and redefine
traditional teaching as a time to construct and share new knowledge.

At Colegios Laude we share
the philosopy of sport as described in the Olympic Letter, a life
philosophy which exalts and combines harmoniously the qualities
of the body, mind and spirit. Sport and games constitute one of
the greatest methods of teaching values and lessons which will last
a lifetime. They encourage friendship and fair play, teamwork and
a respect for rules. Sport teaches us to win and lose, it optimises
our capacity for compromise with others and with oneself and presents
us with challenges which help us to grow as people.
The quality of the sports offered at each of the Laude schools is
reflected in a wide and varied selection of activities, in our facilities
and in our participation in local and national sporting events.
